Holly Heffren

Ms. Holly is a graduate of Sacred Heart University where she studied Psychology, Elementary Education, and Literacy Instruction. She worked in public education for 15 years both in elementary schools and a high school. Ms. Holly received her children and teen’s yoga certification from Missy Brown and Deep Play for Kids in Fairfield, Connecticut. Her teachings are an integration of her experience in the classroom, her formal training, and the great school of life. Her mission is to get back to the basics of learning, and to hold space for students and their families whether in her tutoring sessions or when guiding a mindful movement and yoga class.

As a veteran teacher for over 15 years, Ms. Holly knows the importance of having a safe space to gather, share, and move with intention. She leads a mindful movement class grounded in yoga poses, stress management, and nervous system regulation for middle school girls. Now, more than ever, it is important to support our young women with a safe space to come together in community as they navigate the world around them. Her yoga classes include a settling in practice, a yoga sequence, breathing exercises, rest, and an activity allowing for reflection and creative expression. There are no have tos, and everyone may come as they are.

Each class is personalized with intention for the specific age group. Please inquire about opportunities for classes for other ages, and note that classes are drop-off only.
